i turbo charged my car and back in the winter i had turned my ac on for some reason the ac line that runs right near the turbo exploded. does anyone have any advice for what i can do to fix it besides taking it into the shop. (im the do-it-yourself kinda guy)

replace it w/ a similar line?
that would be ur bestbet, and you'll want to re-route it AWAY from the turbo ;)
and if it is one that hold's freon, you'll want more...

well if you can find the lines (most likely from a dealership) remember to thermal wrap them, your radiator hose, and anything else you want to keep cooler for that instance. But most likely the reason your pipe exploded is due to the coolent freezing and the compressor building up to much pressure.

thats anothing thing i was goin to get, that thermal wrap cuz it exploded because all that heat from the turbo. i looked at the line it in was like brown so, maybe just a little to much heat around there.

You could also thermal wrap your turbo, headers, and downpipe...that would probably work better then doing the AC lines. But Im not sure, make sure the wrap is capable of handeling that much on contact heat, turbos make mad ammounts of heat, and even though the wrap wont start on fire, it could detereorate. Check it out, but you gotta do somethin.
