I have over torqued one of the water pump bolts and it broke off into the block. I have drilled it with a left hand bit and it did not come out. i tried to use an easy out and it turned a quarter turn and stopped and the easy out began to drill into the stud/block. The stud is still in there, what is left of it and i am lost as to what to do. I have never tapped a block before so I am a little leary of doing it but if it is the better way I am willing to give it a try. I have a mechanic friend that can help but not til next week and I need my car back. Any pointers would be great.
Thanks Nigel

I drilled the hole into the stud and tried an easy out. The stud was so tight that the easy out just spun and made a bigger hole. I drilled the entire stud out with a drill bit and since I plan to swap a B16 into the car in a few months I filled the hole with epoxy and placed a stud in it. When it was silod the next day I put the water pump on and put a nut on the stud and tightened it down. It works great and the car is running like a champ. Thank you for the advice!
