cold air intake sucking sound

hey i bought a volant cold air intake and ive read about you guys saying that it makes a cool sucking sound but i dont hear that on my truck

i do have a magnaflow catback exhaust on so maybe its drowning the sound out


or did i hook the intake up wrong which i cant see


whats your opinions?

Don't sweat the bullets!!! You may or maynot hear it (most the time, probably not). Once in awhile (at lower RPM) I can hear my K&N!!! :smokin:

same here. but now with my new re-modified exhaust.. I can't here sh** but the exhaust. :D

I have the Volant Ram Air hooked to my stock box and can hear that think sucking in small children and all the dirt on them.........

That may be due to the fact that my exhaust, intake box and other items short of the cam are stock.

yea.. without a loud exhaust.. I am sure you will hear more of what is under the hood than what is comming out from behind :D

I just installed a Volant with the Cold Air Intake Ram. Can't hear a thing with my Magnoflows, but did get a bit more kick.

I just cranked up the sub and Polks, it went away...:wink:
