I have a 97 cavalier z24 and I have a real problem. My left front drive train has a clunk that is speed related regardless of turning or not. It causes a vibration that you can feel in the floor and to a lesser degree the clutch and brake pedals and steering wheel. I have changed out the half shaft and a brake job but neither helped. I think it is my wheel bearing but I have been told by a fellow cavalier owner that the bearings are all on the halfshaft but to me, that just doesn't sound right. If anyone else knows what is going on please help!:banghead:

Bad strut? Bad strut mount? Bad lower control arm bushings?

:grinyes: As my suspition told me, there is the bearing in the wheel hub assembly. I replaced that and no more noise! I am no longer emberessed to give someone else a ride in my car and I don't need to worry about when it will break down finally!:grinyes:
