I have a 88 Mustang GT Vert & considering a nitrous setup on it.
I have a rebuilt 5.0 engine & just wondering what are some of the pros & cons of running a bottle ?
Hope to hear soon from you guys.
Thanks.

pros = if setup properly and safe, an easy 50-100hp at the wheels instantly
cons = if setup wrong, blow your engine
cons = if setup wrong, blow your engine

Pros- Its by far the cheapest hp per dollar mod you can get.
Cons- A lot of people consiter it "cheating", and its not on all the time. And if not used correctly it could mess up your engine.

Coming from a Nitrous user:
Pros:
-Instant hit of cheap Horsepower and huge torque maker
-When you want it, you have it. When you don't, it barely affects the drivability/gas mileage of the car.
-When used properly and in moderation, it is easier on your engine than a similar HP supercharger setup.
Cons:
-Kinda risky if you get a used kit or a cheapo kit, if a solenoid goes so could your motor if you don't catch on in time.
-The bottle does run out (at inconvenient times it would seem). However you can buy more bottles :)

Yeah, I usually top mine off after a night at the track.
BTW you have any N/A times for your car? a buddy has an '03 V-6 with LT's and full exhaust, Throttle body, CAI, Custom tune, and some other stuff. Gears are next for him. Curious what he's gonna run. He put down 165 HP to the wheels prior to the tune and TB.

But no I havent gone to the track yet, based on what other people are running I'm expecting high 14's and POSSIBLY mid 14's, i'd probaly have to wait until fall when it cools down to see mid 14's though.
