Nissan sunny central locking

Hello,
I have a nissan sunny 1.4 LX 1392cc 4 Door Saloon 1992. The central locking started doing funny things. When you open the car from the drivers door (which is the only one than activates the central locking, if you open the copilot door only opens that door and no other one) the central locking starts unlocking and locking the other 3 doors several times and it stops eventually, but it will start again randomly. Usually the problem is solved when I lock the drivers door.
When the crazy locking/unlocking is going on I can hear a repetitive click coming from the control panel in the drivers door (where the central locking and the 4 electric windows controls are). I think it could be either this control panel or the central locking motor in the drivers door.
Can anybody give me some ideas.
Thank you very much.

It is the driver door control panel. The solenoid/relay inside the control panel fails and cause the fault. Very common problem for them.

Ask your local Nissan dealer for a price but make sure your sitting down when they give you the answer ;)

They cannot be repaired and because it is such a common fault, even secondhand units rarely last. Good luck.
