Auto Transmission Temp.

i just installed an external trans oil cooler in place of the cooler in the bottom of the radiator. approximately what temp. does trans fluid run at because the external cooler seems to get pretty hot and i'm worried it might be too small. the car ('89 laurel 2.8 diesel) doesn't carry heavy loads or do lots of hill work.

the fluid can become quite hot. Do not worry about it, as a cooler will prolong the life of your automatic considerably.
