I was this close to buying a 95 SL. I went, drove it and just as I though it was great, on the account I have owned my base for a good 2 years. Well anyways it was a cash buy so I was going to own it and no financing. Well, as I was going back home to think about it, my friend calls me! He tells me he just found me a car. See, his brother is going to the Navy and he wanted me to see his car. So I say, oh well, wont hurt to look. As I drive through his driveway, he tells me the car was going to be parked outside his driveway, and there it was, a 06 Viper. .......:naughty: Just kidding. Seriously though I was driving though his block and he was just getting there in a Celica. First impression: GROSS. I didn't like it. He calls me over and says "come drive it!" I think why not!? I jump in there to meet myself with a 6speed. HM...then a GT-s badge. It was kind of ricey but oh well. I drove off. It was pretty smooth. Took it on the highway, and it was nice. The shifter was kind of tight though. I continually threw the wrong shifts. Otherwise it was quit nice. In the end I gave it a little run to 80. The car had 56,000 miles and was very clean. He said if I wanted it to give him 6 grand right there. I said no. Now I'm pondering. It is a 2002. Would it be wrong? I feel like I'm betraying my stealth by buying it. It would be a good addition my cars but I don't know.

Anyway any feedback is appreciated!

does the SL have anything wrong with it?
how many miles?
how much is the SL?

in my opinion if I had to choose I would go with the SL if it doesnt need any work because if it does and you dont have any time to work on it, get the celica because is a newer car and wont have as much stuff go wrong than an older car.

That will be most everyones first opinion. Bear in mind, most people that will see your car will only have a first impression as your driving down the road. I think you know where we all stand but I just figured I'd throw that in there so you have something to chew on while thinking this over.

You realize the GT-s isnt just a badge but thats a model of the Celica right? So its not rice.

Wait first off, why do you need anotehr car

2ndly, let's not turn this into a thread to bash the celica. They can be pretty nice cars.

I wasnt trying to bash the Celica by any means. I only know what it looks like from what he has said which was that it looked ricey and he wasnt impressed at his first look. My response was based soley off of that remark. And for the record I do like Celicas......especially Vip09's collection.
