it keeps reving up and down...couldnt say what RPM's cause i dont have a tach hooked up..but its real annoying and i think it chewing up my MPG...what im thinking is that ive got some sort of a vacuum leak or something...even for specifiac i think its my MAP sensor that has gone bad......idk....i need to get another one the be sure....

Is the check engine light on? If so, run it for codes - a bad MAP sensor would make the CEL turn on.

Fluctuating RPM is usually sign of a vacuum leak, if you pop the hood while the car's running, you might be able to hear a hissing sound from a hose or somewhere (revving the engine helps). Replace vacuum hoses if needed, they're dirt cheap.
