Please help.
I have a 99 CRV with about 140,000 miles. It is well maintained I have the transmission fluid changed every 35000 miles. I have a problem that seems to be getting worse. If I turn my steering wheel either right or left at a very slow speed (pulling into a parking space or pulling out of a driveway) I get a vibration or chattering. It seems to be from the rear wheels. I have been to my mechanic and was told that it is a inherent problem with the CRV clutches. But it seems to be getting worse. Does anyone have an idea? Thanks in advance for the help.

Problem solved and expensive lesson learned of all the times that the transmission fluid was changed it was only the LAST time that the rear fluid was changed. By that time it was to late. I had my new mechanic open up the rear differential he came out with metal filings not a good sign. Needed to get a differential from a yard. Now every time (30,000 miles) that I get the tranny serviced I will make sure that they service the rear differential and add Honda fluid.

I had the same problem on my 2001 crv. Took it to the dealer and had the rear diff. fluid taken care of. Problem solved.
