Ebaymotors would be a good place to find one. As far as putting one in you need to find a local shop to do it and who is willing to put the time in to get it done properly and not half assed. You have to research that on your own because if anyone here recommended anyone (assuming they are in your area) and the job turns to shit, well you could turn around and sue them, since this is the American way. But hey, if that happened, you could forget the Blazer and get a Corvette.

good luck finding a shop that is willing to take on the task, let alone work on it later... the cost to me was high, and i had no laber charge... unless theres a preformence shop in your area, good luck... and i originally perchesed an e bay moter, god dont do it!!! it was missing several hard parts that are not typically missing from a small block (ie oil pump, pan, rear main seal cap) if your going to do this and wanna do it good, let the shop doing the install do/find/buy the moter.... what year blazer are we talking about? 2wd or 4x4?

the best idea i have is buying someone who did the swap and is selling thers that way you don't have to deal with the hassle of finding a good complete block and a good shop to install it but ofcoruse treat the inspection as a rebuilt car such as have it inpsected by mechanic etc....thats just my idea...

Yeh i know this is old thread but i just see now.
Go talk to different mechs in your area. I found one and paid for mine but i also payed 45/hour and had to have it in a garage from Novermber to February only to have it blow due to not enough road testing and an act of god. It will be pricey but make sure if you go this route you do a couple things
1>Have great communication with your mechanic
2>Get him everything you know, Pics, books, ideas, etc
3>Have all stuff there for him and be prepared to go in and answer ?s
4>Make sure you have a guy that can do exhaust and that the mechanic knows this and can work with this other guy with the towing and stuff
5>Make sure that its properly tested and running and stuff before leaving with it
6>Go over this swap with him alot and make sure you have his email incase he gets a problem and you cant be reached by phone that way you can send him links photos etc
