Thinking of the war, I thought it funny that the official Nazi side of the story (as depicted in The Downfall) showed it was 90% the Russians (oh those evil Ruskies) who ended WWII, and not the Allies as all the Allied nations like to proclaim... (Canada included :rolleyes:)

yes our country hates the french because of their cowardice in the war. to many americans they are seen as the biggest bunch of pussies in the world. those are the views of others not mine. i really have no reason to discriminate towards the french, therefore i won't. i was told i should by my history teacher, but that's his deal, not mine. the french also hate us, idk why, and i really don't know why international disney was put in france since they hate us so much.

Yep got to agree with that. I could care less on why peole hate the french. But i dont hate em nor any other people from any other country. I can hate a individual for actions they might do to me or mine but not for any decisions they make about their politics.

They love to judge our politics while they have 10% unemployment, low GDP growth, Muslims burning cars over race, students burning cars over new employment laws, taxes that make up almost 50% of their GDP, and a very low industrial growth rate. The US has 1/2 of their unemployment rate, over twice thier GDP growth rate, 6 times their total GDP, twice thier industrial growth rate, about 1.5 times thier per capita income, and the biggest internal problem we have right now is peaceful protests over people trying to get into this country. It sounds to me like we have our act together and they don't.

I'm not even that mad about Vichy France during WWII, or what they did in Algeria during the 50's and 60's. It just seems to me like they are perfectly happy talking about how we and everyone else is all wrong, but they are completely unwilling to do anything about it.

This doesn't apply to all French. I've met some very nice French people, especially in the south, but the pushy ones are incredibly annoying.

Apparently they both said that once you get out of Paris the hating stops. Also, you know how
some of us got this “If you wanna come to America, you’d better learn to speak English!” attitude.

She was also the PM during the Falklands War. She was also probably one of the strongest female rulers in world history, being PM of Britain for about 20 years. She was in many ways the opposite of Tony Blair and the Labor Party.
