exaust for a 88 camaro

i have a 88 camaro with a 305 carburated engine, the exaust is busted so i am wondering what kind i should get for it, that will give it the best performance

i dont know much but i am workin on it

alot of people on here will say not flowmasters, but personally i like the way they sound. also magnaflow, they are supposed to be great for performance and they sound nice. but your only gonna see real gains if you get bigger piping all the way from manifolds or y pipe back. and if you dont have emissions testing gut your cat converter. but yeah headers would be nice too. buy some hooker shorty headers and a muffler and bring it to an exhaust shop and go "how much"

ive got a flowmaster catback on mine and i am swapping eldebrock headers and y-pipe in now. i also deleted all the emmisions and cat converter and i put a 3" exhaust cutout where the converter used to go... but i would go with hooker catback if i had it to do over again. but one word of advice go with dynomax turndown tailpipes. best looking tailpipes for these cars imo.

i'm happy with my flowmaster.
