Hi-rev tuners

Has anyone seen it yet? I... I can't even begin to describe how disgusted I am with it. I would comment, but I would have to make this freakin' post a mile long.

well i dont really like the show, it is not up to speed with other automotive programs, ie horsepower tv and it just doesnt have nice cars in it but thats just my opinon

All they talk about is freakin tail-lights, wings, and graphics. They look under the hood of a car and it has like a T78 tubro setup with an intercooler the size of Montana or something and they say "as you can see they have the top of the engine painted to match the interior of the car." The hosts of the show read off of cue cards and don't even get it right most of the time. I am going to stop there.

They make us import guys look like total morons. Oh, and their project focus. So far the have put APC tail-lights, headlights, and hood. That is all...

Oh, and by the way... if you didn't know a focus is an import (according to them.)

Can't say I've ever seen it. What station is it shown on?

it is on fox speed network or speed channel

LET ME START MY BITCHING AT THAT SHOW, First of all, I don't mind the two other female hosts casue there pretty hot, and stupid they are, they aren't bad looking. As for the Bald fagget, I HATE that fucktard. Why you ask, cause he FIRST can't read, then screws up and struggles with his reading, making him look like a stupid fuck.

The last show, then the bald fucker talked about the 1998 Mitsubishi Lancer, imported directly from japan, he said it's the only car in the States that is an AWD car with a turbo, but he didn't remember about the Subaru Impreza, which you can buy TURBOCHARGED. Then he said the Lancer was imported but he didn't mention why it's not on the left hand side.

When he was explaining shit about the Yellow MR2, which is from the Ro_Ja company, the asswipe said that the wide body kit was put on because of the style and it added 3-4 inches width, but the fucker dosen't know that the engine is in the back so it had the body extended to have the side air scoops.

My biggest thing I hate about that fucked up show is how they will show a sweet car sometimes, and they don't show it in detail. they will explain how the rims are "Custom" then the tires are "Custom" then the body kit is "Custom" then they will also say that the interior and the license plait is "Custom"

I wanna get that show off air cause it sucks some major gay balls

wow...I just caught the last 15 minutes of this show and all I can say is....kill me now. That show is worse than any death scene in any movie ever made. They show two cars with nothing but a turbo, body kit, and clear tail lights, then go to a LONG-ASS commercial. show two more cars with body kits and a "custom" cold air intake kit, more commercials for body kits, Ricer tail/head lights....
That show perpetuates the horrible misconception that body kits and Intakes will put you in the 10 second range.

Another thing- I'm tired of their repoirtoire (did I spell that right?) Nothing but Honda Preludes, Acura Integras/NSX, and other typical Economy two doors. pull the plug. that show is horrible.

I usually dont watch it, but end up catching it... its great fun to watch.

The cars are usually OK, but the 'acting' is just horrible. I like it when they cover Cavaliers... they act as if its from another planet.

Then they say its got a custom paint job the go back to the Hondas.

Is an English car, therefore under your silly American definition of an "import" (i.e a car not designed in the US by a manufactor not based in the US) it is an Import.

Ford Europe is a seperate Arm of "FORD" than Ford North America.
If you think thats a silly distinction then anything made my Mazda, Izuzu and Mitsubihi would no longer be an import, since they are merly Japanse arms of Ford, GM, and Cyrhsler.

Lol, I always get a good laugh out of the show. That bald guy can't read for shit :D "This car has a rea...rea...really neat interior"

They showed some 125 hp Civic, said it had a JDM valvecover and carbon fiber NOS bottle, and that it was going to be a serious contender on the strip :D:D

Their project Focus has had nothing added but weight. They've yet to do ANYTHING to the engine, just body. They took off the light factory front bumper with one hand, and then needed 4 hands to put the heavy custom bumper (ugly as hell anyways) on. It's got those Ford Accessories projector headlights, and an unpainted carbon fibre hood. They put on side skirts to add more weight, then some APC "Euro" taillights that already have condensation leaks. Then they put a big aluminum wing on top of the hatch, and replaced the factory car-wash safe flexy genuine carbon fibre antenna with a hard, stiff, thick red aluminum one.

They spent 3 seconds showing this madly modified Sunfire that apparently had 750 hp (it looked like a professional job, I don't doubt the figure), then walked over to a Prelude with nothing under the hood but plugs and wires and said "...but THIS is the REAL hot one..."

Those chicks aren't even that good looking, and they never get anything right. She said this RSX had JDM headlights.....even though they weren't :confused:

I watched the first show when it premiered and after about 10 minutes I proceeded to vomit because itwas more entertaining then watching this shit. (yeah, i could have changed the channel but I was sick).
Horsepower TV is not too far behind. Last sunday the did a 'Project Civic'. They bought a DX and then added a CAI, exhaust, tail lights, and a system. They then bragged about the 10 hp gain over the stock 116. (this was a rerun, btw). I couldn't believe it. I watch HPTV for muscle cars and things with real HP figures. Not big lawnmowers (no offense).
Popular Hot Rodding TV is a great show, however. They do an excelent job and the guys on the show absolutely know their shit. One is a profession Funny Car driver, and the other does something else. But their dialog is good, not cheesy which is the norm for these kinds of shows. And instead of just doing project cars they spend the show explaining the details of various parts of the car and what different modifications will do and how they work. It is an absolutely wonderfull show.

Heep, we caught the same episode. I did like that sunfire, but I felt the MULTI-SCHEME paint job was a it much.

Jimmy 11- Believe it or not they actually say "nitrous" kits. it's about the ONLY thing they can get rice...I mean right. (that was an actual typo, and after about ten minutes of laughing my ass off, I decided to keep it)

OK so now this show really is stupid beyond measure, I'm suprised the haven't gone riceboy style and given the Fuck-ass (sorry Focus) a coffee-can exhaust, the sound of a turbo without the balls :rolleyes:


Also a 750bhp Sunfire must be so nuts :D A lady downt he road has a Sunfire, I think it's one of the wierdest looking things I've seen, even more so then the *dun**dun* Multipla.

A Pontiac Sunfire? I don't think they look all that good, but they're certainly not wierd looking :confused:

Yes yes the show is really dumb but it is the only import show "lol" on tv that i have seen that gets in to some "lol" detail so it's a start i wish some one can come out with a tech import show shit i would send money in for that

I saw another television show like it called SpeedLogic. But damn it; it was in Spanish and I don't speak a word of spanish.

this may a little bit old,but i just gotta say, this show is the worst show Ive ever seen. When i watch it while I wait for my ride in the morning, I get pissed off.

Arrggghhhh, its a good thing i dont live in SoCal, or I would bitch slap the producer!
