More info here,

Mid engined, carbon chassis, light weight all sounds familiar!!! Wonder what Gordon thinks of this, His kind of car!!!

Perhaps you should be comparing it to this lightweight Gordon Murray creation:

...instead of the F1?

Amanichen, Since when did the Rocket have a carbon chassis?

Also Gordon has put a twin cylinder motorcycle engine in a Fiat 500!!

PS. (Well it is orange after all!!)

Amanichen, Since when did the Rocket have a carbon chassis? No, it doesn't have a carbon fiber chassis.

The fact that it has similar construction to the F1 means nothing. What makes the K200 similar to the F1 that doesn't make it equally similar to a Zonda, Enzo, Koenigsegg, Carrera GT, or SLR?

The purpose and performance of this car is so far away from the F1 that it's not a valid comparison. Even comparing it to a Lotus Elise would be a huge stretch; it's more around the same league of the LCC Rocket, Ariel Atom, or Smart City Coupe (but with less performance than the others.)

Maybe I'm insane (or maybe I'm missing the point) but I'd never, for instance, compare a go kart and a car just because both had an aluminum space-frame chassis with a mid-engine layout and a rollcage. They're for entirely different purposes and aren't really valid for comparison.

Amanichen, I was not comparing it to the F1. But light heartily suggesting it was an offspring, as in sprog (English slang word for baby, infant etc)

Two cars you mention are close relative,s to the k200, chassis,s being made in the same factory.

It would be interesting to hear Gordons comments on this car, as it fits into his design principles of light weight, good packaging etc

I had an Elise (in exactly the same colors as the car pictured! :) ) and now have a Rocket myself and I do like the concept purely spec-wise... Too bad it looks like a battery powered car for elderly people...

Cheers, Ruben
