He wants a 2g....
You should be able to find one for less than $8k, but your gonna have to look around. Try autotrader, cars.com, craiglist.org, local paper, etc.

Classifieds at dsmtuners.com and a local DSM website, would be another great spot to look.

my bad, I over looked it. I personally would by a 6-bolt 1G if your only goal is to go fast. If you have to have a 2G i understand, but they are just a little more work than 6-bolt 1G.

but if i'm not mistaken isn't the 2g heavier than the 6bolt 1g i thought it was considerably heavier?

If I was going to do it all over again, I would buy an early production '92 TSI AWD. ;)

Thanks for all the info guys. I have been looking at autotrader, ebay, etc. I think I found the one I want. Its a 95 GSX w/ a 6 bolt swap and a 50 trim turbo and a bunch of other goodies.

If I was to do it all over I would buy a truck. For as much money as I spent on my car I could have like 6 mail order brides...:banghead:

when I make my final car payment in september of this year, I will have a little over $13,000 in my DSM, and it hasn't even received any hardcore mods. ;)

Holy fuck. I dont want to spend more than about $3-$4 grand on mine, but I wont be done with this project for probably 2.5-3 years. I never would have gotten a different car, mine is far too sexy. If it were to be a dedicated track car, I would have gotten a 92, but since I will be seen driving it on the road I wanted one that looks good. :p
