Fuel pump install....

Oh joy. 3 1/2 hours. $50 in gas to fill from 100% dry.
Had to cut off the exhaust right before the axle to pull the tank down. No biggie, getting the Magnaflows hung up tomorrow or Tuesday.

Fuel pressure is nice now. Before it was right around 61 PSI at idle and WOT would drop it down to 53 PSI. Now...68 PSI at idle and 62 PSI WOT.

Not the best footage as I wanted to get home quickly. Was by myself as well. Loud is the word right now. Thank god it is changing soon.
Oh yeah...idle is down to 925 RPM's.

This might be why...

The difference in the mufflers. Bullets were nothing really. Gonna be a tight fit for the Magnaflows though.

Clean cut on that exhaust. What'd you use, a rusty pair of tin snips? Car sounds mean. I'm interested to hear it with magnaflows. I forget, has it been tuned yet, or did you just dyno it?

It is tuned for power in the upper RPM's. Still needs lower RPM work.

The cut was smooth. We bent the pipe down so that the air would 'kinda' head towards the pavement.

so you are trying to make the car so quiet as possible?

I was never trying to make it as quiet as possible.
Just looking to tone it down.

I'd never want to hear that car beside me at a light. I'd piss myself.

there are a lot of cars out there sounds like that even better.. but the important part is, if that sound is horsepower sound or a crappy muffler sound (like mine:) ). you can find that out when the light turns green.. if it is HP sound then go ahead and piss yourself.. :)

I hated my fuel pump install (actually it was more of the removal part). All the suspension bolts were seized and wouldn't come out for shit. Took a few sawzall blades to get everything out of there to make room for the tank to be pulled out (literally pulled).
