Oil Leak

Hi, I have a 97 GP GT 3800, 111,900 miles and have developed an oil leak. Not enough to have to add oil between changes but still leaking nonetheless. I put the car up on ramps and I saw oil accumulating on several oil pan bolts. I HOPE it's not the pan. Anyway, could it be anything above the pan that's dripping down? If it's the pan/gasket how much am I looking at? I know it's a PITA to change it out so I'm crossing my fingers hoping it could be something else not as difficult. I'm going to run a search also and try to get more info.... Thank you.

It could be an oil pressure sending unit or an oil line. Mine had a leak in one of the lines at around 126,000 miles but that was 7 years ago.

It's rare for a oil pan gasket to go bad, it is usualy a leak above that drips down, if you think about it there is very little pressure and no moving parts on that seal.

also the rear main seal is known to leak on some 3.8L motors

is the oil at the front, back or one of the sides?

Actually, oil pan gasket leaks are fairly common on 3800 series II engines. It could also be the valve cover gasket(s) leaking.
