Does anyone know how to activate the Bluetooth function in a Peugeot 607?

I have tried searching under the bluetooth menu on the phone but it doesnt detect the car so it seems i need to activate the bluetooth in the car.

Any Help Greatly appreciated!

Welcome to AF, olliemarshall!

I am sending an e-mail to Peugeot, and hopefully they will reply to us with an answer soon.

Would you like to show us a picture of your car? It would be nice to see pictures of the AF peugeot owners cars every once in a while.

Thanks,
Ran

Well, Peugeot service haven't replied, but I strongly believe that reading the car manual could give an end to the problem. Good luck.

I have following problem with bluetooth.:banghead:
I have Motorola mpx220 which I can pair with car original hands-free set. However, I can receive inbound calls but outbound call I have to make through telephone. I also can not use command on stearing wheel...
Motorola has answered that - it seems - bluetooth specification on both devices are not compatible.
Peugeot did not answer at all.
Any suggestion how to solve the issue?

Hello, JakoMimi.

Peugeot service never replies the e-mail questions according to my experience!:grinno:
Way to go, Peugeot customer "service"...:disappoin

In your case it seems there isn't much you can do, if the phone isn't compatible with the car. You could install a mobile phone that is designed specifically for cars, or keep using this the way it works.

I have e-mailed Peugeot again, we'll see if maybe they will check the e-mail and reply for a change.

Thanks Ran!
I would be glad also to know which phones (Smartphones preferably!) ARE comptible with the car. Buy and try would be too expensive:grinyes::grinyes:
Hope you will receive answer from Peugeot!

You're welcome!
Fortunately I have received an answer from Peugeot today (please refer to the Private Message I've sent to you).

Regarding the mobile car phone, I don't know of a specific one that can connect to the 607's Bluetooth, but I think your mobile phone company can help you with that. On the other hand you can buy a separate car phone, but that would require drilling small holes in the dash and windshield, adding an antenna and possibly even a speaker for it (it's literally another phone installed permanently inside your car), I would look closely at the other options before making holes in the dash board though.

I visited yesterday an official Peugeot service here in Croatia and they, not knowing the answer, have opened official service request (i do not know how to translate it) as the only way to get the answer from Peugeot:grinyes::grinyes::grinyes:

I hope they will eventually help you out, but mean while I think you should ask Peugeot to tell you which phones they know that work with the 607 Bluetooth function, and maybe once you choose the phone that is known to work properly, you could replace your current phone with a different one? If the phone company doesn't mind..

I went there and we could not do much. Motorola has some different version of Bluetoth. I took another phone -> Qtek S200 and it works excellent with Peugeot - even voice dialing! Best regards and thanks for help!
