ok,I have the multiport setting on my car,I'm going to finish it up tomorrow morning,I'm using the 92 mpfi w/88-91 si ditsributor,pm6 ecu....
anyways, the vacuum lines,1 coolant hose & the red hose to the charcoal canister,...I'm not sure where they go,
I'm guessing the red hose goes to the bigger line on the tb,but I have 2 vacuum lines from the stock DX map sensor, the 1 coolant line on the intake standing up with a 90 degree bend & only 1 vacuum line on the TB!
thats really the only problems I got,
I'm thinking about teeing off the coolant hose with the other coolant hose(smaller)that goes to the block & also teeing off the vacuum line that goes to the tb vacuum line,(not sure if it will affect anything)
& putting the red hose from the canister to the bgger line on the tb,
let me know what you think,
dont mind my posting I'm a little bit off right now,
I need to finish this up tomorrow morning asap, thanks if you can have any info,

Randy

Yeah, the red line is on the TB, one goes to the MAP on the TB, the other vacuum lines go to the manifold itself, the coolant lines are for the EACV and the coolant also runs through the TB to keep it warm in freezing temps, so that it doesnt stick open..after all, the windchill on air entering a TB is much lower than static temp.

so thats why the lines are going to the throttle body. you learn somethin every day.

I just got up & read what you posted, thats what I thought the red line went to,& I just went up to autozone & got some t-fittings for the 2 vacuum lines,
& i guess im going to t off the other coolant line, there aint no where to put it,
but me & my brother are going back out here & getting this thing put together
( if I have any more problems I run into,I'll post it back up in this thread.)

ok,I got finished with the mpfi swap & have no spark!
I'm getting fuel & I double checked the wiring & its gotta be all right,
everything is hooked up,
I havent soldered any connections because I wanted to make sure this worked,
I dont have the ait sensor hooked up but that shouldnt stop spark,
(i still need to entend it)
but does anybody have any ideas?
I'm not getting any codes either
thanks for any help.

unless you have solid connections you are going to have probelms, hell, I have a connection that IS soldered..and it still loses connection untill I squeeze the connection..also check your grounds, one of mine was loose for like a week, everytime I hit a bump I would lose spark and the whole damn engine would reset.

well,I figured what it was,
it was the 2 white wires that go to the dizzy, they was switched around,
fixed it up & it fired right up,
this thing is BAD!
I luv it,hit a little past 7000rpm & pulling like crazy!
the 13's spun the whole 1st gear & went in to 2nd flying,
i love the mpfi swap, the greatest upgrade I've ever done,
im going to the tracks this friday,me & my brother,
I'll see what I run then,
I thought about making a new thread about my mpfi swap, but didnt want to make 2 posts about the same subject, but I probably will anyways(tomorrow)
its getting late,
but I spent exactly at 340.00 for this swap,
pm6
si dizzy
obd1 fuel injectors,intake,
new injector seals/kit

soldered all connections & heatshrink,it took me about 8 hours in full to finish & clean up everything,
but I'll post all my info on a new thread tomorrow & pictures of it,
thanks for helping me out man.

just think now, if you want to drop in an LS, your harness will bolt right up, and if you want to put in a dohc vtec engine, you'll only need to run 3 more wires.

you'll find yourself wanting more soon....lol

thanks you 2,
you guys helped me out with the information I needed to complete this swap,
I still gotta go out here & find out how I'm going to get a air intake to fit..lol
it bumping up on my hood a bit from the small area where the battery is,
not a big deal at all,(currently running one of them 92-95 intakes-shorter)
& put some wire loom on there & post some pictures is all I got left.
thanks again
