Help me pick a color!!!

Ok, as most of you know, I have the Impul kit and various goodies going on the car real soon...


I've been debating on whether to paint the car a whole new color for awhile, and I've decided I'm gonna go for it. I really want a color that isnt stock.


What does everyone think of this blue color? Hot or Not? I think this is THE color for me. I'm tired of that pearl/metallic look, I like how this blue is kinda in your face. Plus blue is my favorite color...

I thought about the chameleon thing (aka "flip flop paint job") cost is too much.


Especially if you want to paint just a small ding or scratch.. you have to paint a lot of the car which is very expensive :(

I like the color of you car Neil, but there is another modded G20 near me that has an Orange type color to it.

The pictures also dont do it justice...

I get the same feeling when I see it in person, like everything just slows down for a minute while I look at it or something. :)

well I can see that everyone likes the color as much as I do..

A couple years down the road after my turbo I'll be looking into a new color to. I feel the same way you do, can't go with a stock color. I was leaning toward the blue at first too, then I saw the Volvo G, that's pretty sweet too. But it's been done before so I'd just be copying. Then I remembered a cool color I'd seen before. It's kind of a bronzy gold off the Top Secret cars.

It's close to the Volvo rust color but lighter and looks like it has a nice flip to it.

b00gie, the most important vote is yours, and if you like it, and are going to pay for it, go for it!!!!.

I think the color is great, even so, you won't see me painting my car like that. Also, no matter what color you give your car, I think it will look great thanks to the impul kit.

So, go for blue if it suits you!!!:D

That blue looks good. I think yellow would definately be the best color for the car. It stand out the most (and it does get all the girlz. ;) ) sure it attracts cops but as long as you don't have dark tints in the front (cops been hunting people down here in la) you would be fine.

I like the yellow too. Thats one of the colors I was thinking of before the blue. A lot of my friends have yellow cars... dont wanna start a banana club! lol... The yellow from the NSX is really nice and so is the lighter yellow of the Ford Focus.

sounds like I found the right color for me!

one good thing about it (for my wallet) is that its a two part paint application which isnt too expensive, unlike pearls and other fancy stuff..

i say go for it :D i want a baby blue paint job.

Go for the VW GTI Fuchura Gold.

I think thats how you spell it.. its a golden color on the new GTI's from VW. It looks amazing.

How much are you paying for the paint and the paint job. I'm guessing 300 for paint and 1200 for labor.

It's a lot of labor, the car is going to be completely stripped down and done the correct way... engine pulled.. everything out... engine bay painted, wheel wells, door jams...

Lots of work... wont have my car for awhile. :(

2500 isnt bad if all that work is gettin doin by the shop what color interior do you have

I have the tan interior, gonna hide it for now w/ some tinted windows until I work on my interior.


The interior will be my winter project, followed by the DET in the spring or summer I hope.

i have the tan to wanting to change it to black i think not sure you know what kind of price its going to cost you

Well...

if you get all factory Infiniti stuff to switch from tan to black would cost you over $3000

But I already have some plans... ;)

what part of jersery are you from im going to be up at ewr for about a month installing a new computer system like to pep the car maybe if its cool

Its a nice color. :) But I dont want a stock color... If I go thru the trouble of changing my paint, I may as well do something special instead of making the car look stock...

Anyhow... after much deliberation.... I'm going with the S4 Blue!!!

I dont really like that tone of yellow... Luke was supposed to scan me some more photos of that car a long time ago, but never did! :biggrin2:

The E46 M3 yellow is real nice - it's metallic paint looks gorgeous in the sunlight!

you should check out some of the exotic cars.....like Ferrari and Lambhorgini(dont ask).....they have nice colors.........

I like that color too. Gotta agree it looks smurfy lol, at least in pics. When I finally saw one on the highway I was definately in aww..

I like the color from the beemer thaa posted. Looks like a sunshine yellow. would definately look nice. That is the color I would have picked if I were to re-paint my car. ;)

There is a yellow P11 in our town and beleive me b-boogie you DONT want to paint it that colour...it looks like someone has thrown up on it.

how about some gunmetallic color? like the IS300? i am going to paint my car that color after i get my D Face kit...i painted my DET valve cover that color too hehe...i think it's nice and subtle but defintely gets attention!

I'm a sucka for a bright yellow, but for another colour, I would definitely pick a BLINGIN" BLUE like that. Add some white rims (multi-spoke) to that paint job and you'll have one kick-ass looking ride!
