Need help with 84 2M4

I bought a 2m4 for a girlfriend last year... what a screwup. The engine runs, but it overheats. It's missing the oil dipstick, so I can't tell how much is in it--I just did an oilchange and put 3 quarts in, as mentioned in the Haynes manual.

Anyone near Ohio that could give me a hand at figuring out what's with the overheating? I don't know how to flush the cooling system and the correct procedures to refill it.

Alternatively, I am also open to selling it. It's a 1984 2M4 automatic, body is good, needs a little work before driving.

I can get pictures, but might take a few days to get them.

If you can help, please email me at [email protected]

I'd be putting in 4 quarts of oil. One reason 84 engines failed was low oil. Get a dipstick to measure oil content.
