Black Caps

What do you guys think of black hubcaps?

Whats the point, Steel rims are already black.

Yeah, but this will be kind of different. Everyone runs no caps, but how many people go black caps?

I think if ya wanna go black, go just steelies.

I agree w/ everyone else....just stick w/ steelies...I see a few cars around w/ black wheel covers...they're ok....I dunno...its a tough call...

My steelies look so ghetto though, they got rust all over em.

I went on vacation the 10th and did the downieville downhill. I was going to post a message in my profile alerting everyone of it, but my computer kept freezing so I could never do it.

Ok, decided to do it anyway, I will post pix and let you all know how it came out. For now, here is a pic of my rusty ass steelies.

d00d just sand them and paint em with engine paint.

As long as the caps over up most of the Rim it would look ok.

the paint will peel on the hubcaps sooner or later, but if everyones rolling steelies paint your caps then.....

im sure the paint will peel also. I will run em until the paint peel is noticable and then either put another coat of black on, or sandblast em down and paint em grey/silver again. I will be sure to post pix tommorow. On another happy note I just found out that my dad is going to fix my A/C for my birthday! Yay for me!

I put new Kumho tires & used some ultra shiny armor on my 2000 civic steelies with H emblem hubcaps. Me like them lots! :sun:

Looks good, could you get a closer pic of the wheel itsself? I am thinking of getting some 90-93 Integra alloy wheels.

How was Downieville? We've been planning a trip there for the longest time. I heard downhill runs are neverending... Welcome back:)

Personally, I'd just say save up and get some 16's or 17's, but maybe that isn't an option. Anyway, good luck!!

Ummm, I want A/C cause its gets hot as hell over in concord, and I have to wear all this prep shit to conform with the dress code:rolleyes: so I want to be somewhat cool, I wasnt gonna shell out money to fix it either but its a plus that my dad offered to do it.

Silver89: your steelies look sick! I think im going to do that, although i may have a hard time finding some in my price range (which is next to nothing cause theres some other stuff I need)

4G4D Store: I will get rims later, not everyone has wholesale access like you do, and me painting my caps black seemed like a cool idea. They look sick and I didnt break the bank (didnt cost me anything, used some of my dads paint :D )

I can vouch for that :) I work in Danvillie which is about 10 min from Concord. Hot as heck there. Plus i have a friend that going to heald, sucks that you always have to wear dress clothes...bah
