5sfe low compression pistons?

that is a horrible turbo kit, you could buy another one or build your own for cheaper/more reliable

you dont need low comp pistons. forged pistons will work just fine. and yes that kit is a little below par.

well my kit cost me $1500 usd (but no dp or exhuast yet) and ill have more power, better reliability and my fuel system is WAYYYY better than that, plus i can tune my car, and have a boost, egt, and a/f guage as well as an intercooler, al of witch that kit dosent have

ok then where can i get forged pistons. and i missworded my original post im building my own kit just using that one as a guide as to what parts i need....is it true that a 3sgte exaust manifold will bolt up? and what ecu do you recomend/use? im on a lower budget

youll have to search for some forged pistons. or get a reputable piston company to make you some. i think arias pistons makes them. the 3sgte manifold will bolt right up, the best ecu on a small budget is prolly the smt-6. its a piggy back unit.

yes but its not worth the trouble, youd be doing a 3sgte swap but w a 5sgte, not wroth the time might as well do the 3sgte swap

yes the manifold will fit, if you want a crap asss engine managment thatll work get an FPR (fuel pressure regulator) a mr2 2 bar map sensor and some 450cc injectors off an mr2, as well as do a manual dizzy retard to about 6-8 btc, itll put you rich and you can use the fpr to raise fuel pressure, youll have crap bottem end but itll work

i dont want crap ass but i cant afford no 3 grand ecu either. i can afford the smt-6. the reason i would swap heads is for turbo cams.

for turbo cams? the 5sfe has more lift and duration than the 3sgte anyway...you might wanna do some research before you jump into anything

thats what im doing here before i go spend a bunch of money on something thats going to just blow my motor and leave me high and dry....right now its looking like im going to get a 3sgte exaust manifold, intake mainfold,tb, intercooler, a smt-6, probibly a 3sgte turbo, an HKS blow off valve, turboSX dual stage manual boost controller, and im still waiting for arias pistons to get back with me about forged ones. do you have specs on the 5sfe? i need all i can get.

arias will want a head if they dont have the specs on it, if you talk to nick tell him i said whats up
the intake manifold osff a 3sgte will not work on a 5sfe, even if you had an adapter plate it has tvis and you cant controll that
dont get a manual boost controller, you dont need to up the boost
you will also need new injectors, new fuel pump, intercooler, charge pipes and other little things

arias said approx $155 per piston. the boost controller would be so i could run about 5psi street and 10-12 psi race. so how about those specs?

what specs? and that is DURT cheap, my set for my 4agze customized for about $900
you must remember now your stokc rods cant hadle taht much boost either i would only goto 12 now w them, if i were you id take them out and hav ea shop bronze them and shot peen them, and basically re work them to make them stronger
