Best stapler ever

I've always been a fan of Swingline staplers, particularly the red one :) but my European History teacher bought a Staples branded stapler. I thought for sure it was a cheap stapler that utterly sucked. Wrong I was.
This stapler doesnt work like a conventional stapler, insteat of using the force of your grip to drive the staple, as you squeeze, it builds the pressure and fires all at once. This means equal effort no matter how much you staple.
I have a pretty strong grip and I was unimpressed until I had an idea. Open the stapler up and fire into the air. So the first time the teacher left the room, I said, "Hey ya'll watch this" and I opeded it and fired aiming across the room. I expected a distance of 10 feet where the staple would land. WRONG. That staple smacked the wall about 20 feet away. This stapler iis the ultimate office weapon/dorm room toy.
Stapels has 3 models, a small medium and large (creative huh?) they are usually priced 10, 14, and 30, but i got the medium one today for 12, and it has a bit more power than the small one my teacher had :)

MSBNC reviewed it too, http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6468880/

Paper clips are better, add an elastic band and you have a highly mobile weapon which can be fired with accuracy with a little practice....
not to mention paper clips and elastic bands are far easier to conceal.

an your less likely to do too much damage. in school we used to fold up paper into these really solid little "V"s. then use and eleastic band, they hurt if the band was strong enough.

when i had braces i had bands, to help move my lower jaw forward. you could use the hooks to fire the tiny rubber bands at people, gross but funny.

That's pretty cool, but I still don't understand what you mean by saying it builds pressure.
Nevermind, I just read the review, and that is pretty cool I guess.

It's like a staple gun, you press the handle which either compresses or extends a spring which shoots the staple out all at once, as opposed to a constant push with regular staplers. staples has a demo area if you wanted to check it out

Is this a serious thread? How is it possible to like staplers and cars?

I'm pointing out a stapler that doubles as a close range combat weapon for our office friends, reach over the side of the cubicle and launch a volley of staples :) They do sting when you get hit

Shit those little v things launched with rubber bands hurt like hell. Someone was using paperclip ones once and nailed me square in the back. Had a welt the size of a small cookie and it was bleeding.

staplers used in such a way are oure evil, a few years ago my friend caught me off-guard and stapled my hand to my desk, the staple went through that bit of skin between thumb and fore finger, that hurts.

my math teacher has something similar to that, the only difficulty with hers is that it has a tab that blocks the staple from being fired unless it's pressed against the paper, so you have to use your finger to push it down, it really sucks when your finger gets in the way and you get stapled.

put sticky tape over the tab to hold it down?

Or, you can hold a regular stapler and smack it with your other hand. I've successfully hit the opposing corner in a classroom. Much farther in the office.
Rubber bands for braces....done it. Not much fun.
Wasps/Hornets, alright.
Paperclips + Rubber bands...... I gotta try that one.
Anyone else do pea/bean shooters using the top of a 2-liter bottle and a balloon? Those were fun.
