I had a new brake job done a few months ago and the red emergency brake light continued to stay on, as well as the computer saying the brake pads were worn. Of course the emergency brake wasn't on...Then one day the red brake light went out and simultaniously the anti-lock brake light went on! I put brake fluid in it as it was a little low, but still the ABS light remains lit. Since I recently bought this car used, I don't know too much about these things. Despite the fact that I'm a female, I do know a little bit about cars; but this problem is outa my league. Thanks!!

First, have you done your guides?
Second, take it to T-3 on South Cobb. Is is Mecca for the Q45.
Third, get over to www.nicoclub.com and read a little every night for the next few months. Start with all posts by Q45tech.

[quote=stormmotor]First off I would take it back to where you had your brakes done. You did say that the ABS light came on after your brake job right? Well they most likely damaged a sensor wire. That happens a lot in high flow shops because people do not pay attention. Take it to them and complain. second if they do not help you out then take it to another shop and have them scan your ABS system for codes. It will tell them why and which item is acting up. That will cost anywhere from 50$ to 90$ an hour depending on location and shop it will take somewhere around 30 min to 1 hour. so its not too bad.
