Car Idles And Runs Funny!!!!please Help!!!!

i just bought a 1994 black z28 and everything was running great when we test drove it but now it is acting funny. i will start it, and when it runs for a few minutes, it will jump from about 1000 rpms to 2000 rpms. and sometimes while i am driving, the throttle will not respond as it should. its an automatic with a holley throttle body but i cant seem to figure out what the problem is.

Did you check your fuses?
Sounds like it could be a bad MAF, or TPS, or something else...
Check your trouble codes.

Sorry guys, couldn't resist. '94 you DO have to be a tiny bit more specific to paint a picture here for us to visualise what's going on. I'd be looking for vacuum leaks for starters. Have you done anything preventive maintnance wise to the car yet since buying it?
