Okay so I took my girlfriend to get some coffee this morning before I dropped her off at school. We are driving down the street, and this guy I know who drives a very riced out Civic (unpainted bodykit, bunch of useless gauges, fart-can exhaust, you get the idea) comes up behind me, heading for school. Well I know that if he doesn't hurry he is going to be late. My girlfriend, who has an aiding class and doesn't care if she is late, tells me to do the "go slow trick". For those that don't know, the go-slow trick is when you drive under the speed limit trying to piss the other person off.

So we are approaching a 4 way stop intersection and also the start of a school zone. He is already pissed even though I have only been doing the "go slow trick" for about 30 yards. So I stop at the intersection and take off slowly. All of the sudden the idiot starts passing me in the middle of the intersection by going into the oncoming traffic lane (the street has 1 lane in each direction)! At this point he probably thinks he is getting the best of me, showing me how cool he is by being willing to break the law. What he didn't see, however, were a pair of headlights that turned out to belong to none other than (drum roll please) a member of the local law enforcement! The cop, after seeing this idiot coming at him in the oncoming lane, turns his lights on. The douche in the Civic gets back into the right lane (in front of me) and pulls over, as do I. The cop does a U-Turn as soon as he safely could and pulls over behind me. He comes up to me, and tells me I am good to go and that he was just pulling over the other guy.

Now at this point I am literally crying as a symptom of the hysterical laughter. I drop my girlfriend off at school and head back home (my house is less than a mile from the school). Well I got a text message from my girlfriend about 20 minutes after I drop my girlfriend off at school, and apparently the kid got his license suspended and has over $1500 in fines!

Well that one more ricer off the streets for now. I deserve a medal

Heh, thats pretty funny. But how in the hell did he manage to get $1500 in fines? Did he shoot the cop in the ass too?

I'm gonna go against the masses, and state that you are a jerk. So what if the dude has a riced out civic. Why make the kid late for school, by doing the "go slow trick". Now the kid has to pay for traffic fines along with being late for school.

I guess you think that dudes with riced out cars need to be bullied.

Dunno how people can condone your actions. Thank God i'm taller and stronger then most people, cause I wouldn't want to be the little guy with dudes like you around.

Well, for starters, the kid is a douchebag. That alone makes it worth it. The kid is an arrogant dickhead with no reason to act like one. So no, I don't think kids with riced out cars need to be bullied. I think little shit-talking pricks like him need to get bullied.

And I didn't make the kid drive like an idiot and pass me going 45MPH+ in a 20 Mile an hour school zone. He took it upon himself to show me how "cool" he was. And it wasn't as if I was driving 5 miles an hour. The speed limit (before the school zone) was 25, and I was going 20. And big deal if the kid is late to school? He would have been maybe 3 minutes late because of me. Not like he is going to get expelled for being a little bit late to class....

OK, if you stated that you knew he was a douchebag I wouldn't have stated what I said. I thought he was just a casual acquaintance.

Even if he was the nicest guy in the world, it's not that big of a deal. So the kid is a couple minutes late to class, big deal? Not like it warrants him the right to risk the lives of little kids on the way to school (there is a middle school right next to our high school).

But yeah, I guess the guy wants to "kick my ass" now:eek:

Sounds like your girlfriend is a bitch and you are just as much of an asshole for listening to her.

I hope he buys a Supra with 100k miles on it for $20k and then beats you. :D

Isn't driving below the speed limit "breaking the law?"

...
The "Basic" Speed Law

Absolute" speed states set an upper limit, above which your speed is considered illegal. Drive one mile over the limit and you are a law breaker. But these states also have a way to ticket you when you are driving under the speed limit if an officer concludes your speed was unsafe. Called the "basic" speed law, it prohibits driving at an unsafe speed, even if that speed is below the posted limit.

^^ Yes on interstates and some highways there are rules for that but going 20 in a 25 does not show cause for unsafe driving for him or anyone around him.
