Constant Door Chime

I have a 1998 Ford Explorer XLT and for some reason that door chime goes on constantly anytime the door is open and the engine is off. It does this even if the lights are off and if the keys are out of the ignition. Any ideas as to what is causing this to go on constantly? I can't figure it out.
