Engine layout?

Hello,

According to my OBD-II tool, I have a misfire in cylinder 4. Now, my question is, which one is #4? (2000 Altima by the way)

ps. I've changed the plugs and nothing has changed. Time to do wires. Aside from those 2, are there any other things that would cause this?

cylinder 4 mis fire huh? cly 4 is closes to the distributor has the shortest plug wire the lay out is just how you count left to right 1,2,3,4 also just because it is very common that the intake mainifold gasket fails causing any p0300 codes(misfires) also check your distributor for any signs of oil leaking inside the cap . hope that helped

Intake manifold, I agree. Easiest way to find out if it's the gasket. Take carb cleaner and spray along the intake manifold. If you see the engine idle change at all you have a intake leak. Cylinder #4 is the most common.

Cylinder #4 is the one closest to the distributor with the shortest wire..
