Amp for sub in console?
My truck has the non-luxury Bose factory system, it's an LT. I read somewhere that there's a sub in the storage console. I can feel it hittin' slightly. Since the sub I'm going to use to replace the Bose in the storage console isn't high wattage. What amp do you suggest I wire it to? Or should I run it off the headunit if I can?
Is it a good idea to amp everything seperate like this?
All amps will be drilled to the bottom of the rear seat, The RE Sub will be custom fitted/fabricated wherever the installer see's fit. All other speakers in factory locations.
Any comments, questions, suggestions to improve setup highly appreciated!

I got a trailblazer with the bose speakers, and I was told by the team that's doing my Accord that each speaker has a small amp attached.
You could probably swap out the sub using the factory amp, but then again bose is famous for their unconventional designs so it might not fit.

I am currently setting up an audio system in my2006 , 4x4, Duramax/Allison, Silverado crew cab. I picked up a sub enclosure w/ a pair of 10" MTX drivers for a couple hundred bucks. You can get one w/an amp inside if you want which helps with space limitations. This unit fits in behind the rear seat and does not affect the seats usage whether it is up or laying down. For your truck they make one that fits under the rear seat. These units work great and are not at all in the way of anything. They are also very easy to find online. Aboive the sub along the rear just under the back window I mounted 2 bridged Alpine amps for my door speakers, A 1000 watt Memphis amp for the sub, and a 8 farad cap. It all fits rather nicely and when the seat is upright, the whole thing is disappears. Great for anti-theft reasons. I will try to ,load a photo in a day or so. Maybe this will help........I am now trying to figure which component speakers to upgrade to in all 4 doors. I am considering Focal and Dynaudio, any ideas anyone ???.....:screwy:

I would recomend to simply cancel the little sub that came with your truck, and add a 12" or 10" sub and an amp, you'll get 20 times the sound of the factory sub.
