95 vr6 power loss

after replacing thermostat and housing, my 95 vr6 will bog down upon acceleration, problem was not there berforehand, altough could be completely unrelated? changed fuel filter but got no help, check engine light is not on yet anyway. could it be maf or maybe computer? any help would be great
