Power Door Lock Problem

I was installing some sound deadener on my doors the other night and managed to short one of the power door lock wires. I found the splice and fixed it, but now the doors will only lock via the switch or FOB, they won't unlock.
Door chime works as does the dome light. I did find the Keyless Entry control box and removed it and examined the circuit board but didn't see anything that looked burned. It could still be broken obviously.
Just not sure how this system works, meaning what is different for locking than unlocking the doors? I'd think it's the same relay/fuse/etc..... Any ideas???

If you have another Remote , try that, If not .. Open up your remote and see what the circuit board looks like.. If the unlock button on the board looks fairly dented in , It's possible its a bad remote.
Thats my first thought that i would check ..
Do the locks work ok with the switch?

Locks dont' lock at the switch either, so not the remote. I'm "guessing" it's in the Remote Keyless Entry module, but don't know how to tell for sure and don't want to buy one and find out it's not the problem. Any other ideas??
