AM Radio hum...

I had an amp and 2 10" subs installed in my '97 C1500 about 7-8 years ago (and it still sound great), but in my old age, all I seem to listen to is AM talk radio. Problem is, during the day, I get a loud, annoying hum on ANY AM station. It goes away early in the morning and at night. Is there a ground issue, or an antenna issue, or something else?

...oh yeah...it has done this since the amp/subs installation, but I didn't really care about it then. Now I want to listen to AM radio...it's a maturing process.

Check the connections in the back of your head unit.

Try installing a power noise filter; you can get them at most places that sell car electronics. They run about 10 dollars or more and if it doesn’t work you can always return it.
