2003 is a big year for Toyota. Every model is redesigned inside and out. Only body and interior differences. Not total redesigned as in chassis and motor. The 4runner and Sienna are all new for 2003. All other models have redesigned bodys such as the all important Celica. THe new models look awesome, Toyota should start to get the younger crowd soon. So wait till 03's come out to buy a new Toyota.

Sorry, I don't have any pics and there are none on the internet. My father owns and Toyota dealership and a Chevy and he had to go to a TDA meeting in Chicago not to long ago because he is president of it from the New York Region. There they showed all the new 03 vehicles and stuff about them, then I asked him about it and he told me everything. Expect to start seeing pics around the middle of August and that is when some of the 03 are delivered to dealerships. August 2nd, they start produciton of most of them including the celica. I can't wait to see it, it's got new front headlights, new rear license plate area, new tail lights, new interior, and 4 new colors added. It's gonna rock dude.

I love Toyotas but they need to beef up the power on the cars. The Celica GTS needs like 25hp more. The Camry V6/Avalon needs to compete with the Altima 3.5 and the 4Runner should have about 250hp while the Tundra/Sequioa should be well at 300hp. Toyota needs to find a way to increase the performance while maintaining the quality of their vehicles.

Also toyota should make some more sport compact cars.

ey does ur dad knoe anything about toyota's "next big sports car"? cuz someone told me in a forum that toyota has been investing lots of money into motorsports the past 3 years and the exotic sports car isnt gonna be worth the investments they made in a motorsport division, so im thinkin that they have to have some thing up their sleeve...probably to counter the rsx/350z/rx8....

Well the Celica for 03 has I think 10 more hp. It would be great if it was 30 more hp. Now the 4Runner, you guys don't know what is coming. The 2003 is all new, totally redesigned. As for the motor, it now has the Tundra V8 in it as well as a smaller V6, which is 245 hp. Plus, the features on it are outstanding, nothing else like it. Wait till it comes, it will be awesome. And about the sports car thing, no one knows anything about that. My dad would know about a year ahead so nothing yet.

I'm not for sure, but I believe the new 4Runner will be having a new bored out engine of the previous 3.3L V6 engine to either 3.5L or 3.6L. Also check out these pictures of the 4Runner (http://community.webshots.com/album/44356383oArXaQ)

That wouldn't be much bigger because the current V6 is 3.4L

To let you know, Toyota is planning for another supra. Toyota gave my dad's dealership a paper about it. It is going to be pretty sweet, I didn't read it all though. I know it's price is set at 30K+ and is going to have good power to it. Going to be a 2004 model, there is a toyota meeeting in Vegas soon or somewhere and that's where they show everything, all the new cars. So he said he is probably going to see more info on it, and all the announcements Toyota will be making.

my dad has got a 94 supra TT and it basically owns everything and for its price it is hard to beat. If toyota comes out with a new supra i think it would need to cost a bit more fi they are planning to out-do the last supra model. Cause back in 94 when my dad got the car it was like 40k+shitty taxes so about 55k total. And now days the celica top of the line is about 30k almost. But ide like to hear any news on the new surpa as well.

the newer Celicas won't be better than the 00 ~ 01 celicas, b/c they lowered the redline, so basically you can't rev it up as high as it used to, a big loss in torque and HP in high rpm racing, the increase of 10 hp it going to be useless

Your reply is a little late there. The 03's have been out and people have already known what the new features are. They didn't lower the redline and they didn't add any horsepower. The only changes were the new colors, the new front grille, the new rear tail lights, and the new all black interior and new head unit. I know because my father owns a Toyota dealership. Hopefully, Toyota will look further into their development of the Celica. It's next redesign is in 05 and that is a FULL redesign/reengineered. By then, it better have more horsepower to it and be a true sports compact car. Then it would be able to compeat with others and actually win. Plus, maybe it would be a lot more popular. Toyota is slowly making their motors bigger each year and soon they should be on top even more.

I see, thanks for the update, anyways, i really hope they make celica's rear wheel drive, back to what it used to be, a true sports compact

This might be a stupid question but why doesnt Toyota put a V6 in the Celica? Wouldnt that give it more HP and make it better? Or is there something I dont know that makes that impossible?
