i just posted a forum before this explaining my situation, well now we noticed there is a glow coming from the metal on the coil when it is started or reved, there is also a glow of electricity coming from the spark plug wires during these times too. if anyone knows what this can be or what to do that would be great. thanks a lot Jason

Glowing coil and wires!?! That's a first. I would have to assume there's WAY too amperage going through. you need tofigure out the culpret. My first chekc would be the coil itself.

well we changed the wires and it runs better except for when it heats up, the glow fom the wires are gone and we might just get a new coil, but the plugs are low temp like cool running plugs and this car runs a bit hot a bit too hot im gonna get it to turn the fans on sooner, but were going to change the plug to a hotter running type hopefully this clears up my problems. ill tell you what happens thanks a lot

Don't play around with plugs, get straight up stock Ac/delco replacements. Deviations from stock ignition parts causes a boat load of problems. This holds ESPECIALLY true for the ignition control modules and pick up coils.

If you are determined to change the fan turn on time and over all get the engine a little cooler, then change to a lower temp thermostat (180* is the average) and change the fan switch (between cyls 6 & 8) to a lower turn on time, or for the few extra buck I'd get an adjustable.
