Do the companies provide you with technical information regarding their suspension components?
Such as spring rates, damping/valving on shocks etc?

with a little badgering I have been able to find some specs but, since there is no univerasal way to measure spring rates that info is not commonly published .... in most cases shock companies are very protective of the valving specs that they use and will not share it at all .....

There are some great products out there to test most are analog gauged based, but like this one even prgressive springs are no match for it.

I have a local guy who races and has an analog based setup, but it would be obsurd to buy and test springs manufacturers don't produce rates for.
I have been able to get most companies, to hook me up.
Obviously I am looking for Honda/Acura/Toyota, and Mazda only.
If you have any contacts or spec sheets could you hook me up?

it is very easy to test a spring and determine a spring rate but, there is not a universal way to measure them ... for instance:
Should the rate be meaured at 50% compressed, 1" compressed, not compressed or fully compressed .... The industry has not made a "standard" for this and progressive rate springs just make it more difficult

Interesting. From what I have seen the 1" rule seems to be the most popular, and most consistant way to measure.
Progressive rates are interesting, but it would be measurable.
1/2" compression=125lbs
1""compression=200lbs etc.
if you have any #s based on the 1" straight rate springs let me know.
