if you get the rain tires, make sure they are put on the right way. When I got my camaro half the wheels had the water grooves going the wrong direction :banghead: .

other than check the direction I have no other advice. I haven't had to buy tires for my 4th gen yet, or my old 3rd gen for that matter either... it had new tires on it when I bought it, and I didn't keep it that long.

good thought, i'm really starting to think i want the toyo's now though, and i'm trying to keep from having to have them shipped, it's expensive having them shipped

doesn't cost too much to ship tires.

couple sites i have looked at quoted $100+

i found one site that had a deal on the toyo's and would ship them free, making them $105 total a tire, but a local tire shop said they could get them for $110 each and put them on for me included in that price

that's not a bad deal at all, you should go for it.

I tried the Toyo tires once.............Hated Em!
That was a costly mistake for me. I was lured in by the cheaper price. Felt like i was driving on a sponge for tires , and the road noise wasn't accepatable to me either.
I ran those for one week and gave them to the first sucker that would take them and put back on the GoodYear Eagles
Try Tirerack.com that is where i get all of my tires and the shipping is usually only about $43 for the set via Fed Ex Express Saver. The tires are first quality (not seconds or blems) & i have never had an issue with any that i got from there. I just recently put on a set of GoodYear Eagle GA on my RS and 3 of the 4 were perfectly balanced (0-0) on the wheel without adding any weights and the other tire only required .5 on the inside to balance.

I have the Sumitomo HTR+ tires. I love them. They are performance enough for me with the ability to not dy in bad weather, and they are resonably priced. I got them from Sears.
Here is there website on the tire: http://www.sumitomotire.com/theline/product.asp?c=per&id=2

sears also told me those would take 3-4 weeks to get in because "they had to be shipped in on a boat from japan, but i should buy these michelin"

what did you pay for those tires, and how long did you have to wait to get them? one person told me 2-3 days, the next guy the next day when i went to order them said 3-4 weeks and he wouldn't sell me the size i wanted because "he had been in this business a lot longer than me"

It has been a while since I bought them, but i want to say around $120 a tire...i think. They had them in stock at the time so there was no wait, except for the install time.
