Spring / Shock Combo

Hey, I know I'm a newbie but I've loved Japanese cars forever, and I have been reading these forums for a while and every time I have a question, I come here and find the answer. Keep up the good work!Anyway, right now I'm redoing my suspension. What should I use with Eibach Sportlines in terms of shocks? I am looking closely at KYB AGXs because of their reputation and adjustability. Yellow Koni's or Tokiko Illuminas are out of price range since I need sway bars, tie bars, etc. Also, does anybody know if do KYB AGXs do well with Skunk2 coilovers? I'm looking for a soft, non-jumpy ride. Thanks in advance.

The AGX are a better shock than the Illuminas. For Honda's at least.
As far as springs go for them, I don't recommend teh Skunk2 sleeves, unless you custom order specfic rates, and spring length.
In stock form the spring length is too short and the rates are too high for the AGX, to dampen them properly, you could get away with GCs butyou run into the spring length issue again.
The AGX are best suited for straight no height adjustabilty springs. You want to run sleeves properly, the the Konis are teh only shock that will dampen them.
The following are great springs for those shocks, and I have been in and driven Tegs and civics with the following.
Eibach Sportlines
Neuspeed Sport and Race
H&R sport.
Suprisingly the Neuspeed Race springs rates are not that high so you can use them safely, and the drop is slightly more than the others.
I would however stick with the sport series of all the other springs.
You want a firmer ride stiffen the shocks.
Those springs will be dampened perfectly by those shocks, with no extra work being placed on them, The most agressive of the bunch in the sport series is the H&R, which are also my favorite.
Honestly it will be all preference in brand.
I would go with the Neuspeed or H&Rs.
The sportlines are just shorter versions of the prokit, and not very agressive.
Thats my take.

I think I'll go with KYB AGXs and the Eibach Sportlines, as the Progress springs drop 2.0" all around, which would require a camber kit and more expensive shocks since the drop would be too much for the KYBs, which are recommended to go 1.5" max lowering. In fact, they're lifetime guaranteed to work with less than 1.5" drop. Thanks for your help!
