My helmet has a few decals that are painted on (factory) and I want to remove them.. I've searched on google and found some info about people removing them with acetone free nail polish and various other things but I don't want to ruin/melt/mutilate it in any way.. can anyone help?

I'd be careful what you use on a helmet...some things (including certain paints) degrade the material of the shell and cause it to loose integrity when you need it.

I'd suggest try heating the decals with a hairdryer, and get a hold of a corner and peel. Any residue will clean up with WD-40 (harmless) or ether.

im not sure what you're saying. are they decals or painted on graphics. if they are just decals do what jeffcoslacker suggested, thats the best way. if the graphics are under the clear you're better off just leaving it.
