Really rich exhaust...

My exhaust is really rich with smells like unburnt gasoline. What could be the problem here?

Any modifications that would increase the fuel? Aftermarket FPR, bigger injectors, AFC, chipped ecu?

My exhaust is really rich with smells like unburnt gasoline. What could be the problem here?If not many mods then you probably need to check your emission system. EGR, o2, cat How many miles does the car have?

The only things that came with the car when I bought it was:

1. an Injen cold air intake

2. i'm sure it doesnt have a cat, so i bought one off of ebay

3. I have no clue where the o2 sensor is.

4. I don't know what an EGR is, so probably not.

5. I'm pretty sure no aftermarket FPR, and no bigger injectors.

6. AFC?

7. I don't think my ECU is chipped.

Sorry guys, i'm more literate with toyotas then civics. I just bought it 2 weeks ago.

No CAT? That could be the problem. Your engine requires a given amount of back pressure for optimum performance. Not having that back pressure is sure to throw off your EGR, o2 and ect. This could result in the car running rich.

yeah, the dude that sold me the car said the car was getting really rusty and so he just cut it off.

I bought a car off of ebay. I'm going to put it on soon. I'll tell you if it makes it better when i get it on
