Smokin Problem....?

I have a 1990 CRX DX. Its got about 180,000 miles on it. I know I know lol. But its startin to smoke when u hit the gas in nuetral or takin off in first. Is there anything I can do to stop this maybe a tune up? Or should I go ahead with a swap?

that's nothing for a honda ;) i sold my 90 accord with 301,000 and it ran better than any other car i have ever owned. i also have a friend who kept an early 80's accord they drove well over the 500,000 :eek:
i wouldn't say go out and do a head swap. however it sounds like head gasket time. you could always pic up a spare head cheap and have it rebuild/machined for $150. i think i got my spare for like $50. so i spent $200 for my a6. i wish i had more to say but i got screwed...the mechanic who replaced my head gasket screwed something up. it won't hold a gasket for more than a month (went through 2 and there is a 3rd bad one still in it. now that the a6 is out i should tear it apart and see what's really going on. :licker:
