My clio also has a leaking sunroof. (It is a known fault with clio's!). The only succesful solution that i found to stop it is to try find the area it is coming in... around the seal usually, then apply vaseline generously to the seal before closing the sunroof up and this forms a tight seal which prevetented it from further leaks!
Hope this help

My Clio Leaked On Saturday When Had Bad Rain And Also Leaked On My Old Clio.its A Very Common Problem With Clio's. On Sat My Central Locking Stopped Working As Water Got In Above The Sensor.once It Dried It Staring Working The Next Day. If It Is The Same Place As Mine.take Sensor Out Or The Interior Lights In Just Add Some Good Sealer Around The Top In Inside To Stop Water Coming In. Hope This Is Any Use

i had the same problem with my 1996 clio. What i did was clean the sunroof gutter and the water just flowed down through the leak of valve and out under the car.

I didn't think of doing that and that might have solved the problem but now he has gone for the nissan micra, not the most suited car to a boy. Thanks for the advice.

Yup i had the same problem on my Clio S Maxim 97. Leaked thro to my immobiliser and cudnt use it for ages. Had to wait for it to dry out then what i did was apply vaseline round all of the seal really generously, closed the sunroof and put black duck tape round the edges on top. Its been fine ever since. This is only for the winter though i gotta open it up for the summer when it comes lol but yeh this is a known problem with Clio's everyone has them i think.
