ac removal

i want to remove the ac from my 92 talon. there is no belt on the compressor and the tensioner pulley is gone. so i want to remove the whole unit to save wieght and other reasons so can i just rip everything out all the lines and all that. i doubt there is anything left in the thing at all if it even still work.

can i just remove it all or should i worry about chemicals or something else leaking and stuff

it all depends on how enviromentally friendly you want to be. If you really dont care just rip it all out, just watc out for freon spraying around
