Rebuilt transmission still having problems

My OD went out of my '93 chevy Z71 just as I was doing some town driving. It had a bad smell kinda like burnt oil at the time. Then my 3rd gear started slipping. It started dripping oil then too. Never before. I took it to my local service station, who done a diagnostic test on it and said it didn't show any codes. so I needed my transmission rebuilt (and he was kind enough to offer me $800 for the truck) I love my truck to much to give it away so I took it to another service station who rebuilt my transmission for me. He calls me now and tells me it still doesn't have OD or 3rd gear and now it might possibly be my PCM or a hydralic problem-he's not sure. Is there a way to tell if it needs a new PCM? And what about this hydralic thing he is talking about? He said he is not getting any codes either, which makes him think the PCM maybe bad and not giving any codes??I want to be able to sound a little bit smart when I talk to him. Has anyone else ever had the same problem with their transmissions?? Any ideas, I am getting real worried!!

:angryfire If you want to sound smart tell the guy if he can’t fix it to give you your money back and you will go somewhere else!!! I hate it when people try to get over on other people. You shouldn’t have to sound smart. He is a professional offering a service. If he can’t do it then he needs to tell you. The difference between him and the other mechanic is at least the other guy was upfront with you about trying to steal your truck and offering you no were near enough money. This guy is just trying to make it seem like your truck cannot be fixed.
