So im looking at getting an 06 SI and I was just reading on the honda website that it requiers Premium fuel? Okay so the compression is only 11.0:1, is honda serious about the premium fuel thingy or can I get by with running regular...especially with the gas prices recently.

I have a '02 Si. Do I have to use Premium fuel? or is this only in the new ones.

No you do not need to you do not have a DOHC motor in your Civic.

02 Si's are DOHC but they don't need 91 octane. Unless you're from canada then you're 02 Si is probably a coupe which is the equivilant of the American ex. But either way you're safe on regular.
