actually the real car was kind of a joke gone to far between hurst and gm, it ran two blown alcohol 455's, to all four wheels, with a tad under 3k horse (as far as i remember), there was an interview with one of it's driver's, i remember: "All that power slapped into that car, most of the time you never really knew which way it was gonna go."

The Hurst Old's used two drivetrains (one turned around backwards)from the Oldsmobile Toronado
which was a front wheel drive behemoth from the late '60s,that came
standard with a 455 cu. in. V8 motor !
