Bulb Replacement

My front turn signal bulb went out today I checked the fuse it was ok so obviously it's the bulb. But here's the problem I went to go change it took off that plastic wingnut holding and tried to pull the parking lamp away from the body but it wouldnt budge its loose but I cant pull it out any help would be appreciated. Manaul said just to pull it out of the body after taking off wing nut but it still wouldnt come out and yes i did pull really really hard; enough to rock the van back and forth.

Yes - it was just a matter of pulling it straight out.
