Anyway I just got today my new 24in 2405FPW monitor from Dell and I am in love with it. Makes even my previous 20.1in 2007FP look quite small.

Anyway here are some pics with it (Google Earth in the background):

oh and here is a screenshot of the desktop using windows blinds 5 (all the goodness of aeroglass but with a million themes):

goddamn... that's nice.

But why did you stop at 24? Should of gone for the 30" wide screen they've got. hehe

I'll be bying some Miracle grow to pour on it, that should bring it to 30" or so by the end of the season.

finally today i was able to upgrade the video card. The rezolution simply was murder in games (not that i'm a huge gamer) for my old 6600GT. The replacement is an ATI X850XT and it seems to fare much better.

Very nice indeed. I'm quite satisfied with my 21" CRT though. I would say something about the GFX card, but I don't know anything about the ATI's.

as a reference its performance its overall just slightly above a 6800 ultra. Of course then it comes down to game devs such as that NV cards do far better in Doom3 engine based games and ATI cards do far better in HL2 Source games.

Ah. Which works better for AutoCAD though? >_> I'm using a BFG Nvidia 6200. Yet to have problems with it and got it for free from my brother since his computer wasn't able to use it to it's fullest.

For proper autocad (or other pro redering sofware) its better to stick to their profesional series cards such as the quadro fx:
