Shocking Problem!

I have a problem that I was hoping someone could help me out with.
My truck has been shocking me lately when I get out and use the metal handle or door frame to shut the door.
This isn't just a static problem - at least I don't think so.
It's bad enough that my finger and part of my hand goes numb for a while afterwards.
Is it possible that an electrical problem is causing this? The problem only started about 2 months ago and has gotten worse since then. This did happen when there was snow on the ground and now in he Spring as well, so maybe humidity could have made a static problem really really bad? It happens no matter what type of shoes I'm wearing and if I have gloves on, it shocks me right through them, sometimes multiple times.
Has anyone had a similar problem and if so, how do I get rid of it?
